The following was again before the House: SENATE BILL NO. 90 "An Act clarifying powers and duties of state officials in relation to a disaster emergency caused by a catastrophic oil discharge or the release of a hazardous substance." Representative Hudson moved and asked unanimous consent that SB 90 be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 4. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 4 was offered by Representative Hudson: Page 1, lines 9 - 11: Delete "If the governor declares a disaster emergency under AS26.23 because of the actual or imminent occurrence of a catastrophic oil discharge, the" Insert "The" 1993-04-15 House Journal Page 1260 SB 90 Page 1, line 13: Delete "emergency" Insert "actual or imminent discharge" Page 2, lines 13- 14: Delete "If the governor declares a disaster emergency under AS26.23 because of an actual or imminent release of a hazardous substance, the" Insert "The [IF THE GOVERNOR DECLARES A DISASTER EMERGENCY UNDER AS26.23, THE]" Page 2, line 18: Delete "emergency under [" Insert "actual or imminent release under [EMERGENCY" Representative Hudson moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 4 be adopted. Objection was heard and withdrawn. There being no further objection, Amendment No. 4 was adopted. The question to be reconsidered: "Shall SB 90 am H pass the House?"
